I am an Ontario and BC registered Social Worker - Psychotherapist (MSW, RSW); a Yoga Teacher; and a National Consultant. For over 25 years, I have worked in community, educational, and healthcare settings. My clients benefit from this diversified and rich experience. My services are anti-oppressive and trauma-informed. I offer client-centred individual / group counselling to you to collaboratively work on your goals. I strive to work from an anti-oppression, trauma-informed, intersectional framework to best serve you.
I have an MSW (2012) and B.A. (1997) and am an experienced OCSWSSW and BCCSW Registered Social Worker-Psychotherapist.
My approach is relational and I draw from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatics, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, IPT, CPT, EFIT, TFCBT, Resilience, Positive Psychology, Yoga, Mindfulness, Strengths-Based Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Parts Work, attachment, Inner Child Work, etc. to offer you the best tools for your wellbeing toolkit and promote post-traumatic growth.

I offer Clinical Consultation and training to individuals, groups, and community agencies and organizations. I am trained in Trauma-informed supervision and bring an an anti-oppressive lens to my work. I draw from my extensive experience to support front line workers. Expand trauma skills, learn self-care, achieve work-life balance, prevent burnout, critically reflect, and authentically work with the values of social justice and equity and exceed professional expectations.
I have over 15 years of experience in the areas of mental health psycho-education, anti-oppressive practice, sexual violence prevention and response, consent training, Positive Space training, and revising organizational manuals and trainings. I have consulted for dozens of organizations nationwide and have a Master's Degree in Social Work.
I also offer Coaching to Executives, Directors, Managers, and change leaders around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I help support you in setting and meaningfully achieving your equity goals.

Yoga Retreats, Classes, and Workshops
Based in traditional gentle hatha yoga and mindfulness meditation and informed by DBT, somatics, polyvagal theory, neuroscience, psychotherapy, anti-oppressive practice, and trauma therapy, this holistic practice can help with stress reduction; grounding; mind-body wellness; being in the present moment; building strength and resilience; distress tolerance; self-regulation; managing somatic manifestations of emotional overload; preventing burnout, and post-traumatic growth through embodiment.
Many individuals and groups have benefitted from my skills as a therapist, mindfulness facilitator, and yoga teacher over the years.

I am grateful for having had the opportunity to train under the tutelage of Dr. Madan Bali of Yoga Bliss, to have completed Lisa Danylchuk's Yoga for Trauma training, and to have facilitated many groups over the years, including in post-secondary educational, private, and community settings.
My Master's Degree in Social Work - specialization in Health and Mental Health - enhances my Yoga practice.
